Australian Community Managers

We’ve worked with ACM on their reports since 2023, usually in their own bright, rounded brand world. This report was rather different. Commissioned by Digital Rights Watch, ‘Misogyny in Online Social Spaces’ looks at how the people who moderate online communities experience and respond to gendered harm, and the toll that work quietly takes.

With few statistics or diagrams to break the page, structure had to do that job. We gave each section its own colour and its own image treatment, so the reader always knows where they are and the density never sets in. We chose photography that expressed the emotional depth of the subject instead of stepping around it, building a relationship between the reader and the material, something a more clinical layout would have lost.

Pegged with a contents page that uses colour as a structural device, we created a clean read, built to move through.
